The way we were, Dendermonde, 1966

 300,00

A woman is sitting on a sofa, with her two children, two little girls. She is trying to exhibit the perfect image of her little family, and everything "smells" like the sixties: the vintage clothing, the hairstyles, the jewelry, the way they are posing... The painting is a portrait of the painter's family, and she herself is the little girl in the front. The painting is in monochrome, grey (black & white), and also the format suggests the photography of the sixties. The scene has been painted on a wooden block and is ready to hang. It is not signed, as it is part of a series, but it can be signed upon request, for instance at the back or in the white zone (in a very discrete way).
