The way we were, Tourinnes-la-Grosse, 2007

A small painting of a little boy, this time based upon a video still from a bad-quality video (filmed in the dark and thus quite grainy). The artist accentuated the pixelated effect, working with a rather rough brush, while keeping the end-result realistic. The turned-away attitude of the boy (son of the artist) makes the scene more intimist. The painting has frozen his movement.
