Deze jongens zijn subadults XPL 98 en 99 (Gretzky), beide afstammelingen van Angela van de Huab-trots. Beiden zijn gestorven in een mens-leeuw confict.<\/p>\n<p>Inki Mandt is een gerenommeerde natuurfotograaf die de afgelopen 25 jaar een unieke collectie woestijnleeuwen, olifanten, zwarte neushoorns en andere woestijndieren heeft vastgelegd. Inki en haar man, Izak, zijn actieve lobbyisten en campagnevoerders voor het behoud van alle dieren. Ze is de oprichter van DeLHRA (Desert Lion Human Relations Aid), gevestigd in Nambia. Het doel van de stichting is om boeren te helpen hun vee te beschermen door koralen te bouwen en hun vee terug te betalen als ze door leeuwen worden gedood. Ze streven er ook naar om leeuwen van een halsband te voorzien, zodat ze ze kunnen volgen om te voorkomen dat ze vee aanvallen.<br \/>\nEen deel van de opbrengst van dit schilderij helpt Inki en Izak om de andere leeuwen te redden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Referentiefoto door Inki Mandt.
