Residual Tension II

Residual Tension II is part of an ongoing series exploring what remains after an intense gesture. Instead of depicting movement itself, the work focuses on the quiet tension that lingers once the action has already passed.

A dense band of Prussian blue stretches across the upper part of the canvas, carrying the physical weight of the initial gesture. Beneath it, a large field of white space creates a sense of stillness and suspension.

Subtle textures disturb the calm surface, leaving small traces that suggest friction and residue. The painting balances between presence and absence, where energy no longer erupts but quietly persists.
